04  /  Power transmission inspection

Solutions / Power transmission inspection

Inspect the line, span by span.

Corridor-scale transmission corridor inspection — towers, conductors, and right-of-way, without putting a crew on the structure.

Throughput

Tens of km per day

Sensing

RGB, zoom, thermal, LiDAR

Output

Defect register + ROW map

Detail

Component-level

What we inspect

Four checks, one corridor.

01 / Towers

Structure and fitting condition

Close-visual capture of towers, insulators, dampers, and hardware to flag corrosion, damage, and missing components, span by span.

02 / Conductors

Thermal joints and hotspots

Thermal scanning of conductors, jumpers, and joints to surface hotspots and loose connections before they fault the line.

03 / Right of way

Vegetation and encroachment

LiDAR and imagery to measure ground and vegetation clearance and detect encroachment along the corridor.

04 / Reporting

Defect register, mapped

Severity-classified defects geotagged to tower number and span, exportable to your asset-management and outage-planning systems.

Where it operates

From EHV lines to distribution feeders.

Six segments across the grid. The processing stack underneath is the same; the inspection profile on top is specific to the voltage class and the operator.

01

EHV transmission

220 kV and above corridors for transcos and central utilities, on a scheduled cadence.

02

Distribution

Sub-transmission and feeder networks for discoms and franchisees.

03

Substations

Yard and bus thermal scans alongside line inspection.

04

New-line survey

Route selection, profiling, and tower spotting for greenfield corridors.

05

Storm and fault response

Rapid post-event assessment to locate damage and prioritise restoration.

06

Vegetation management

Clearance-driven trimming plans from measured LiDAR, not estimates.

What makes Kodainya different

Inspection software, not just inspection flights.

Most inspection vendors are operators who happen to ship images. Kodainya is a software company. Your operator runs the missions; our stack turns the captures into a defect register addressed to tower and span.

Layer 04Analytics + APIDefect registers, clearance analytics, programmatic access for your asset systems.
Layer 03Processing engineThermal anomaly detection, clearance computation, defect classification by span.
Layer 02Capture pipelineMulti-sensor fusion, structured telemetry, workflow suitable for operator audit.
Layer 01Flight controlPX4 and ArduPilot extensions, corridor-following paths, automated tower orbits.

How you buy this

Three ways to deploy.

Tier 01 / Service

Data as a service

Kodainya coordinates with our licensed operator partner to fly. We process. You get the finished defect register and ROW map.

Tier 02 / Platform

Platform as a service

Your team flies with your own licensed operator. Kodainya’s stack processes, hosts, and serves results through a portal you control.

Tier 03 / Sovereign

Sovereign deployment

Kodainya’s inspection software deployed inside your network and your perimeter. Your operator flies. Your data never leaves.

A note on how we work

Kodainya is in active build. To deliver complete capabilities today, some products and services described on this page are sourced from licensed operator partners and third-party vendors. We are transparent about what is ours and what is partnered in every engagement.

Next step
